PUBLISHED DESCRIPTION

What the notice says

North Tyneside Council required a modern waste management system to support the effective planning, delivery and monitoring of its waste collection services. The solution will initially support approximately 50 waste vehicles, with the potential to expand to around 200 vehicles as further fleet operations are integrated. The business need is to provide the Waste Service with improved digital tools to plan and optimise collection routes, monitor vehicles and collections in real time, respond to scheduled and ad-hoc service requirements and improve operational oversight through reporting and performance data. The system is also required to support in-cab functionality for operational staff, including route delivery, service verification, vehicle checks, risk assessments and communication between the depot and vehicles. North Tyneside Council has directly awarded this contract under the GCA G-Cloud 14 Framework Agreement (RM1557.14). Following an initial high level search of service requirements and a subsequent desktop exercise the Authority directly awarded the contract to Bartec Municipal Technologies Limited.
